A fitting tribute
For your loved oneAs a celebrant, it’s my job to create personal and memorable funerals, memorials and celebrations of life. So it’s most important, that every ceremony I write is unique to the person whose life we are remembering. Additionally, I will make sure that any personal final wishes are accommodated, as well as any you have for them.
Whatever your loved one’s journey through life, I will weave the details into a meaningful funeral, memorial or celebration of life ceremony, alongside small rituals to represent them. We could sing their favourite songs, or a toast them with their favourite tipple. Or wear something to represent their favourite sporting team. It may even be appropriate to pass out small gifts to those present. Perhaps some seeds for planting in remembrance, or some other small memento, for instance.
Above all, whatever your wishes, we will remember your loved one in the most fitting way possible.
“…Michelle was so kind and compassionate and went above and beyond to get to know all about our Dad to create a service that was wonderfully personal to us as a family…”

End of Life Planning
For yourselfAre you looking for someone to help you plan your own funeral, memorial or celebration of life? Would you like to be involved in writing your own script, choosing your own music, and setting out just how you want your ceremony to go?
Whatever stage of life you are at – fit and healthy, terminally ill, or anything in between, I will sit with you. Probably laugh and cry with you, and set out your ceremony for you, in exactly the way you want it.
Following that, when the time comes, I will either deliver it for you, or give it to you for a family member, or someone else of your choosing, to deliver.
“…Such a warm and loving ‘living’ funeral ceremony, put together from my husband’s own life story. Michelle sat with us to capture every detail we wanted. I was surprised how positive an experience it was, for both of us to be involved in one of our own Eulogy’s! Michelle is coming back to do mine!…”

Living & End of Life Celebrations
For yourselfWould you like to be present at your own funeral, memorial or celebration of life? Of course you would be, I hear you say – but I don’t mean as the person at the front, in the box!
How would you feel about holding your own living funeral, or celebration, whilst you are still with us?! Having the opportunity to choose all your own details, such as your script, music and any other elements you choose? Being able to really consider the things you would like to say to people before you go? Choosing your own venue and style of ‘wake’? And only inviting the people you particularly want to be there?
How does all of that sound?
And I will help you to do it. So that, whenever the inevitable does happen, there will be no need for your loved ones to worry and stress over arranging, or paying for, anything but a quiet disposal of the part of you that neither you, nor them, will be needing any more.
Because the rest will have already been done, in style, and you will have been there to enjoy it yourself!
Things to consider
Funerals, memorials and even celebrations of life, can be such difficult occasions, and similarly, planning feels very daunting when we are faced with a multitude of choices. However, rest assured, as your professional funeral celebrant, I’ll be there, guiding you through the process.
Whatever location, theme and tone you choose for your own or your loved one’s ceremony, I will help you to navigate through all the choices available, and put your emotions into words. Bringing expertise in setting the tone with readings, music and individual touches, honouring your wishes and allowing everyone present to feel involved in the ceremony.
“…The eulogy (Michelle) wrote for our late mother was uplifting, inspiring and very moving, exactly what we all needed at our most vulnerable moment and I will be forever grateful for her compassion, love and empathy at such a difficult time…”
John Thompson

To begin with, we’ll run through all of your choices. Following that, we’ll talk through your wishes, I’ll answer any questions, and help you to plan the type of ceremony that’s right for you and your loved one.
Here’s a few things you may like to consider if you haven’t already:
Funerals held in a crematorium chapel are subject to time restrictions, so if you wish to hold your service there, I will make sure you get the most out of it, during the time available.
Alternatively, with me, whichever ceremony you choose to hold, we are not just limited to holding it either at the graveside or in the crematorium chapel. Your ceremony can be held anywhere you would like.
Some families choose to hold an additional, separate, ceremony afterwards, at a later date – a chance to spend more time remembering their loved one, perhaps at home, or in a place that was special to them.
While other families choose a direct cremation as an alternative to something more traditional. But as above, may still want to do something personal afterwards to pay their respects and share their memories of their loved one.
As your celebrant, I will work with you to plan any, or all, of these meaningful occasions.
“…Michelle captured his life brilliantly involving effortlessly highs and lows. Such a professional. Thanks again for your caring support. Without doubt the family would recommend Michelle x…”
